Tradies Bolt Down Post Support
This is an economical, light duty Australian Made post support designed for securing timber to concrete.
Where this support truly shines is the various methods of installation – as it can be anchored to ground with either 1 or 2 bolts, and the cap can be placed either Open or Concealed.
1-bolt anchor:
This is a method ideal for when further adjustment may necessary and low load ratings are to be exerted upon the support. To install using this solution, use both of the knockout washers with the single anchoring bolt.
2-bolt anchor:
For when a strong solution is required and no adjustments will be planned – two bolts can be used on the diagonal external holes. This is a stronger and more resistant solution than the 1-bolt anchor method.
Open cap:
This allows for easy access to the anchoring bolts should extra adjustment / tightening / loosening be required.
Concealed cap:
Where the post support has been correctly positioned and is fully secured, then placing the cap to conceal the anchoring bolts will limit any dirt building up underneath the timber post base and also looks cleaner.
