The definition of ignorance is “not knowing”, however is commonly misunderstood as “purposeful avoidance of knowledge”. With our Technical Data Sheets we are working at taking away the risk of error through lack of possible education.

Included in each Data Sheet are instructions of installation procedures along with Design Capacities which allow for easy calculation of compatibility and compliance any relevant standard for the project on hand.

Our product development team is also paying close attention to information shared to us by site inspectors about non-compliant installations of timber connectors. Whilst some cases can be attributed to willful avoidance of correct procedures, whenever there is opportunity to improve – we will take it.

To add to the information shared within our Data Sheets, we are progressively adding short and long-form video content to allow those that are less inclined to print out or digitally read the details and can be more suited to listening or viewing instead. These are often designed with more basic language to be accessible by a wider audience at varied skills sets.

Where the video and basic content generally avoid including are information about design capacities and specific limitations or design considerations – this allows our communications team to direct people to the same location (the Technical Data Sheet) for any such further detailed information.

The Compliance Guide is a combination of all our timber connector Technical Data Sheets, which makes for a great printed resource for use on-site, or even just for a bit of bed time reading (we know our readers 😉 ). These are a great resource for those new to the range and comparing two similar connectors and their respective advantages or limitations.

For any further technical information when it cannot be found on the documentation, our footer assists in directing to contact through to our Customer Care team or by email to the Technical Department.
