Specially designed to withstand harsher wind conditions
AS1684.3 Compliant
The Australian Standard 1684.3 Residential timber-framed construction, Part 3: Cyclonic areas, was introduced to ensure correct building methods were followed for high wind affected sites, such as seen in many locations on the northern east coast of Australia.
When building in states such as Queensland and New South Wales, you may need to be aware and compliant with the requirements stated for building methods. Our post supports and framing connectors assist you to do this.
Galvanised & Stainless Steel
Once you are aware your site is in a potential high-wind area, it is crucial to know how corrosive the environment is.
This may depend on your distance to the coastline (and whether this coastline is breaking surf or a sheltered bay), whether the location is considered industrial, or even if you building around a pool.
Once you are aware of the level of potential corrosion, you can confidently choose an appropriate material for your site.
VUETRADE, as a general rule, supplies products in Galvanised (Hot Dipped Galvanised for Post Supports), and Stainless Steel in 304 and 316 Grades.
